David studied foundation art and graphic design at Ipswich School of Art from 1968 to 1972 where Colin Moss and Bernard Reynolds were amongst his tutors. He later studied Art and Design at Dartington College of Arts before completing his honours degree at Middlesex University in 1986.

As a freelance photographer he has completed commissions for Eastern Arts, Shape East, Cambridge University Press and Cambridgeshire Health Authority.

David’s exhibited work has included Cambridge Darkroom and East Suffolk Mind. In addition he has taught at a number of Cambridge Colleges and completed workshops for numerous disadvantaged groups including prisoners, children with learning difficulties and more recently adults with mental health problems.
He currently lives in Suffolk where he enjoys photographing the local landscape.
